Glazed Thin Brick also has the advantage of being made in America, qualifying for “Made in USA” required projects. Glazed Thin Brick is a partnership with McNear Brick & Block, the oldest California brick maker founded in 1868. McNear manufactures our base thin brick just 100 miles north of Fireclay Tile using 30-100% locally sourced reclaimed earth. In addition to being a recycled brick, our thin brick is substantially lighter than traditional glazed brick, reducing the energy and transportation costs by as much as 80%. In addition, Fireclay’s Glazed Thin Brick is slightly larger than other thin bricks on the market, meaning fewer pieces per square foot, saving time and labor on installation.
